Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Assembles various parts and components per engineering drawing specifications.

·         Operate related equipment including forklifts, hoists, slings and grinders as needed.

·         Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

·         Read, understand and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures.

·         Keeps work area clean, neat and orderly to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

·         Must be able to operate equipment safely and use safe work habits while performing the job functions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·         Must be able to stand for long periods of time.  Continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.

·         Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. without physical restrictions.

·         Must wear appropriate PPE at all times such as safety glasses, welding helmets, hearing protection, gloves and safety toe boots.

·         Able to work in hot and cold environments during summer and winter months.

PREFERRED SKILLS

·         Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.

·         Ability to understand and follow standard work.

·         A desire to learn and move to other positions.

·         Experience working in a steel fabrication, job or welding shop preferred but not required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

·         Able to work overtime if needed.

·         MUST be dependable and provide references and good work history

·         Detail Oriented.

Industrial Painter

Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Subject to but not limited to do.)

·         Must be proficient in reading coating product data sheets and the related MSDS sheets.

·         Understands SSPC Standards and how they apply to surface coating documentation to NACE standards.

·         Operate, maintain and clean all equipment, paint, ventilation, compressed air, blast and PPE; related to the application of sprayed, rolled and brushed products in the shop environment.

·         Use of airless spray guns to paint steel structures and conventional pressure pots.

·         Inspect and inventory all parts before beginning task and make sure they have been signed off on by quality.

·         Responsible for notifying Shop Foreman of any problems or discrepancies with shop drawings, paint specs, etc.

·         Responsible for moving finished and unfinished pieces in and out of the paint area.

·         Prepare parts for various department processes. (Sandblasting, paint, etc.)

·         Apply paint to specifications, sandblast, or perform other processes needed.

·         Stage and Tag all parts in one area for the next process.

·         Coordinate with shipping and receiving of large items that need to be moved, staging instructions, paint processing times, and any other instructions needed.

·         Schedule with quality when job is completed for inspection.

·         Read, understand and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures.

·         Coordinate with Shop Forman the most efficient schedule for week’s workload. (prep time, space needed for job, cure time, weather factors, etc.)

·         Keeps work area clean, neat and orderly to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

·         Must be able to operate safety equipment and use safe work habits while performing the job function.

·         Responsible for storing, applying, and disposing of hazardous materials according to regulatory standards and company safety guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·         Must be able to stand for long periods of time.  Continual use of hands, considerable arms, and legs as well as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.

·         Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. without physical restrictions.

·         Must wear appropriate PPE at all times such as safety glasses, welding helmets, hearing protection, gloves and safety toe boots.

·         Able to work in hot and cold environments during summer and winter months.

·         Must be able to drive fork lifts and operate power equipment as needed.

PREFERRED SKILLS

·         Experience with industrial sandblasting and painting is required, including: sandblasters, airless spray guns and conventional pressure pots.

·         Able to comply with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements.

·         Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

·         Technical ability to escalate issues through leadership chain when identified.

·         Able to understand and communicate both verbally and in written form in English since instructions, labels and other documents are in English.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

·         1-2 years of experience painting in production plant, job, and welding shop preferred.  High School/GED diploma preferred but not required

·         Technical or certification preferred but not required

·         Able to work overtime if needed

General Laborer

Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Responsible for general cleanliness and upkeep of common areas throughout the shop.

·         Must be able to transition between different areas/tasks and provide assistance wherever needed as directed.

·         Operate shop equipment including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, etc. as needed.

·         Read, understand and follow work instructions and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·         Must be able to stand for long periods of time.  Continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.

·         Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. without physical restrictions.

·         Must wear appropriate PPE at all times such as safety glasses, welding helmets, hearing protection, gloves and safety toe boots.
